The Hungaroring circuit is 19 km from the centre of Budapest, alongside the M3 motorway at the border of the village, Mogyoród.The first Formula One World Championship event was held on the 10th August 1986.Almost 80 percent of the racetrack is visible from any point
There was quite a walk each day to and from the camping site to the circuit.
We then moved on to the Hotel Benczúr, a three star hotel, situated near the City Park, in the heart of Budapest
Weather
Friday. With high pressure sitting over the country, the Hungaroring will experience dry, fine and settled conditions, with sunshine in abundance. Clear, blue skies throughout the day, feeling extremely hot, with low humidity. Light southerly breezes. Top temperature of 38C / 101F.
Saturday. Once again conditions are already sweltering as the ambient temperature heads for its expected midday high of 35 degrees Celsius, and the anticipated drop to 32 tomorrow is unlikely to make an awful lot of difference.
Sunday . A fine start to the day with some sunshine at times, although cloud moving in from the north associated with a cold weather front could well introduce showers from 10 a.m. onwards. These showers are most likely to be light and well scattered but none the less, there is a 20 per cent risk, the risk continuing throughout the afternoon. In between we should continue to see brightness with some sunshine. Temperatures peaking mid afternoon at 28C / 82F although feeling slightly cooler with a light to moderate northerly breeze blowing. Track temperatures likely to peak in the upper 30 Celcius.
